Pain to Passion 168

PAIN…

TO PASSION

One night while driving down the highway, the words pain to passion came to me. In Gematria, Pain to Passion =168. The letters of my first, middle + last name also add up to 168. As a teacher of mine once said, “there are no coincidences...” ~MBP

THE THREE OF SWORDS TAROT CARD represents heartbreak, emotional pain, and the necessary sorrow that leads to wisdom. It symbolizes the moment when mental clarity cuts through illusion to reveal painful truths about relationships, betrayal, or loss. This card embodies the principle that while truth can be devastating, it is also liberating, and that genuine healing can only begin with honest acknowledgment of what has been wounded. The card often signifies betrayal by those we trusted, whether through infidelity, broken promises, or the discovery that someone we loved was not who we believed them to be. It also represents the emotional pain and the need for forgiveness to release the shrapnel from the wound.

The 3 of Swords is Ancient City Tarot’s mascot— art + passion created from the pain of betrayal, heartbreak + some (okay, a lot) of my own karma. Hello rock bottom.

The pain and suffering we experience at rock bottom, can often be our greatest catalyst for growth. As Alan Watts says, “You learn more from the pit than the mountaintop.”

Most souls have experienced betrayal and heartbreak. It’s through these experiences that we are provided with an opportunity to see more clearly. To learn, end patterns, make better choices + ultimately gain a deeper sense of self-awareness.

When we break, the light can enter. Instead of seeing the 3 of Swords as something to fear, it’s my goal to encourage others to see it as our greatest opportunity to discover the light that has always been within!

Tools For Healing + Spiritual Growth.

1) Violet Flame

A practice I have used diligently, except for a short period of time (+ I learned from that to NOT become lazy with your devotion.) was the Violet Flame—associated with Saint Germain. I have a deep reverence for Saint Germain and the violet flame. Be aware that when you begin to work with the violet flame, life can get messy. The violet flame burns away illusion. The illusions we created for ourselves, as well as those around us begin to crumble. Apocalypse is the word that comes to mind to describe what happens in life when you begin to work with such a transformative energy. Apocalypse stems from the greek word apocra - meaning to reveal.

The violet flame invokes healing, spiritual growth + karmic release.

Here is a wonderful read on The Violet Flame and below is a lecture Elizabeth Clare Prophet gave in 1986 regarding the Violet Flame for healing.

2. Mirror Time

As the West Coast Wizard, Axel Vasa, says, every time you’re feeling off, look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself why. Tell yourself I love you me in the mirror as many times as you need to throughout the day. It should be implemented as a daily practice.

3. Hug yourself

A good friend of mine always says to me, “Hug yourself + tell yourself that you love yourself + you’ve done the best you could with the tools you have.”

Give yourself the love you deserve. Give yourself the love you seek from the external world, as there is nothing outside ourselves that can fill the void of loving oneself completely.

4. The Shadow Work Journal

The Shadow Work Journal by Kayla Shaheen introduces you to gnosis from Carl Jung, one of the most brilliant psychologists the world has ever known. It’s a great companion as you begin to explore + integrate your shadow.

5. Silence.

Often times we try to numb our internal pain with distractions. In a world full of noise, silence can be LOUD. If one can endure the silence, within that silence is a voice. Our own voice + it doesn’t scream, it whispers. Sit long enough + you will hear it.

The sages all knew how sacred silence is. Gautama Buddha coined the term “noble silence.” Referring to an internal state where we receive answers from the teacher within. Krishna said, “Silence is a state totally outside the machinery of the mind, the mind cannot conceive of it.”

If you are able to face the silence, you will discover a key to the power that lies within.

BE courageous. You’re preparing to meet your Real self. <3

Final thoughts…Maybe the best thing any of us can do to help save the world is to first, save ourselves…..may this site be a reminder that within each of us, is the power to alchemize Pain into Passion!
